This was a funny way of looking at being well-rounded in all areas. They talked a lot about being really good in certain areas but really poor in others. They also made it appoint to say that the animals took time away from their activites that they thrived on, to work on areas that needed work. This effected the way they performed in the areas that they once succeeded in. I never thought of it this way but I guess they are right in some way. I know a lot of students spend a lot of time in the certain areas that they need work in and then fall back in all of the other areas because they do not spread out of thier time for all subjects.
College Education and Technology
I definitely agree with how technology has grown so fast over the past decade. I remember when I was in elementary school there were no smart boards and eveything was written on the chalkboard. There were no computers used in classrooms but I know when my brother went through elementary school they had certain assignments such as math or reading that was done on the computer. Kids these days are working and getting more familiar with technology at such a young age, even better then some adults. I thought it was funny to think about how kids might portrey our tools in the classroom just as we did our parents' lives. It was a good idea to make it a museum as well, it made it seem more old fashioned, being that museums are usually made for things very much in the past.
Honest College Ad
This video portrayed all of the negative things about college or all of the things that you would not want your college to do or have. They mention that fifty percent of their students go home on the weekends and the other fifty percent are commuters. The one kid describes it as a ghost town. Many people when looking for college to go to, always ask the question of what there is to do on campus. If someone was given this answer i think they would be immeadiately turned away from the college. College is a time where you will meet and make new friends. If the college that you are attending is a ghost town on the weekends how are you expected to accomplish or even just enjoy college life. Another part of this video shows a kid throwing up in the toilet while saying that his dad works three jobs to pay his college tution. This shows the very dramatic truth of college. Most students whether they are of age or not, drink in college and most likely have had their head in the toilet once or twice. The thing with this is that while you are throwing up in that toilet, students don't think of how this really effects them as a person. You are more focussed on getting drunk and throwing up while your father is going to work his butt off to pay for your education that you don't even care about. Again, this video is the very exaggerated truth and not all students are like the ones in this video.
